The 19th Hole - A 'home away from home'
A richly panelled room adjacent to the men’s locker-room and overlooking the last three holes on the course, the 19th Hole has historically been the place to share post-round war stories and triumphs with your playing partners (and anyone else who’ll listen!). Scotch is sipped and beer quaffed while thirsty golfers take in a fabulous view of the local mountains and recount birdies missed, eagles made, or drives gone wild. There’s no doubt that this spectacular gathering place has heard it all.

All day, large picture windows bathe the room in a soft north light. If one chooses to relax on the outer deck, a vast panorama awaits where you can enjoy the early morning sun or a splendid evening sunset. The furnishings are masculine by design, with comfortable leather chairs and tables big enough to hold more than a few of your favourite refreshments.
Warm, spacious and always filled with good cheer, the 19th Hole is said to be a 'home away from home’ for many Capilano members.

The Men's Card Room
Shafts of daylight streak through slightly-closed louvered window shades, but the cool darkness is pervasive and exhilarating. Lit softly from above, the velvet green card tables glow like welcoming beacons. A large television set sits in one corner, its sound typically muted to allow the intense and animated players to concentrate on their next move. Who will rap?

The room radiates drama. As the light falls away from the table’s edge, the colours and textures of the oak-laden walls and deeply rich carpeting become indistinguishable. This is a gaming room – and the cards are dealt.

Outside in the hallway, golfers pass to and fro on their way to the men’s locker-room, throwing the occasional glance to the darkness but understanding and respecting the players’ need for relative quiet. For those members who have yet to find the joy in card games, this room may seem an anomaly; for those who partake, the card room s a shrine to their passion. Here, moderate sums can be won or lost, so enter at your own peril!

The Ladies' Lounge
One of the most friendly rooms in the club, the Ladies’ Lounge boasts a bright, sunny ambience that is conducive to hosting all of the ladies’ club events – especially their regular games of bridge.

Large south-facing windows look out onto fragrant and beautiful rose gardens, the spacious open air dining patio and the walkway to the Golfers’ Grill. From this secluded vantage point, you can spot one and all arriving for a quick bite or their daily round.

The inside decor is warm and inviting. Traditional, with a touch of Olde England, you might say. Soft cream-coloured walls, accented by luxurious forest green carpeting and tasteful artwork. Overstuffed sofas adorned with handsome floral prints. Plush armchairs the colour of golden ochre and freshly-cut flowers. This is where games are reviewed, gossip flows, and good friends are made.
