Imagine there is no water. Instead, just relax, smell the sweet scent of cedar boughs, and dreamily watch plump grey squirrels as they forage for a tasty evening meal.
OK, now let's get back to reality. For the short hitter, playing safe to the left side of the lake is advisable. Long hitters should direct their tee shots slightly right of the directional bunkers on the left in order to avoid the lateral hazards on the right.
Now that you've cleared the lake, you can let the cannons loose for your approach shot. The wide-open fairway invites you to go for broke, and the natural terrain tends to feed the ball down toward Capilano's most undulating green.
Did we say undulating? That's an understatement. This mammoth green causes more groans, grimaces and gyrations than any other piece of real estate on the course. Enjoy!
