Guest Information

Capilano Golf and Country Club is pleased to welcome you. We look forward to making your visit with us memorable.

Capilano takes pride in adhering to club traditions and culture; we ask that you take a moment to read through our policies to ensure your experience with us is as enjoyable as possible.

  • No moving, talking or making noise that may disturb a player about to make a stroke.
  • Avoid standing too close or behind a player addressing the ball.
  • Avoid standing in front of or behind a person who is putting, if they can see you in their line.
  • On the green, the player closest to the hole usually tends the flag.
  • Replace divots or use sand and seed on fairways.
  • On par 3 tees, fill divots with sand and seed.
  • On greens, repair ball marks carefully.
  • Rake bunkers carefully and place the rake in the bunker with a handle perpendicular to the bunker's edge.
  • Golf is more enjoyable for the majority of members and guests when completed in under four hours.
Some tips to improve the speed of play:

Play "ready golf" and hit when it is safe to hit and you are ready.
Keep up with the group ahead.
If you get behind, play ready golf on the tee.
If your group gets behind, consider inviting those behind to play through.

On Greens:
Line up and assess putts as you approach the green or while waiting your turn.
Practice continuous putting until the ball is in the hole. Give reasonable gimme putts.
