In 2014, the Board established the Capilano Golf Endowment Fund to enable members to leave a lasting legacy to the Club. The West Vancouver Community Foundation administers the Fund. Therefore, being a registered charity, any contribution to the Fund is eligible for a tax deduction. The Club appoints up to three Trustees to oversee the performance of these investments.
Any income generated by the Fund on an annual basis will be used to fund scholarships for employees, their children, or other worthy candidates who have a golfing aspect. To date, there have been 16 scholarships granted for a total amount of $21,000.
